Marvin J. Yiengst, a retired biochemist who was known for his winemaking, died Sunday at Good Samaritan Hospital. He had a heart attack after a long illness.
A memorial service for Mr. Yiengst, who was 83, will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow at his home at 6701 Rosemont Ave.
He retired in 1972 after working 38 years for the National Institutes of Health.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mabel A. Bloom; four stepdaughters, Dorothy Caswell of Fallston, Diane Rohm of Severna Park, Kathleen Schafer of Salisbury and Roseanne Bloom of Kalispell, Mont.; a sister, Helen Angeletti of Armaugh, Pa.; 12 stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
