Spring gardening will be on the agenda when the Friendly Thyme Herb Club meets 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Ferndale Senior Center to go to Baltimore's 1840 House Museum, where they tend a culinary herb garden.

A business meeting will follow, with plans being finalized for theclub's participation in Ferndale Day, May 19.

After a brown-bag lunch, the group will be given a tour of the museum and will visit the Brewmaster's Park.

Visitors and new members are always welcome.

The next meeting of the North County Knights Parents Club is set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the North County High Media Center. The executive board will meet at 6 p.m. This is a change in meeting date, but only for April.

Nominations for club officers are being accepted. If you are interested, or want to nominate someone for an office for the 1991-1992 school year, contact the nominating committee: Diana Glodek at 636-1752, Linda Betz at 859-0794 or Carol Koch at 761-6748. Elections are scheduled

for the April meeting, with installation in May.

* The NCKPC would like to extend a special invitation to parents of eighth-and ninth-grade students at Brooklyn Park/Lindale Middle-Junior High to attend the April meeting. Your help isneeded to build a support program for your children who will be attending the high school next year.

* Many people have volunteered toassist, but no one yet has offered to take charge of the NCKPC annual craft show for November.

The Woman's Club of Linthicum Heights will be sponsoring a "Moscow Evening" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 12 at the clubhouse, 110 N. Hammonds Ferry Road. Cost is $3.Desserts and beverage will be served.

Bradley Mettee Jr., a law graduate of the University of Baltimore and a former financial partnerof Semmes, Brown and Semmes will be the guest speaker.

Mettee wasone of 30 lawyers invited by the Russian bar to observe the country's Judicial System. His topic for the evening,

"Justice in the Soviet Union," will give insight to the monumental changes are occurring in the Russian Judicial Forum.

The evening will include a slide presentation of Bob and Delores Schuman's recent trip to the Soviet Union.

The National Association of Retired Federal Employees is having a meeting at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at the North County Library on Ritchie Highway. Guest speaker will be Lenny Genova from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. His topic is "Food Labeling."

"Why Water Bills Are So High" willbe the topic at the next meeting of the American Association of Retired Persons Chapter No. 2244.
