3 NOMINATED FOR BOARD

The County Commissioners have nominated three county men to fill theProperty Tax Assessment Appeals Board seat left vacant by the Jan. 26 death of G. Wilbur Boller Jr.

In a March 18 letter to the appointments office at the State House, the commissioners nominated retiredC & P Telephone Co. manager William Jenness of Westminster, real estate broker James F. W. Talley of Woodbine and retired Agway Inc. employee John Harner of Taneytown.

The board, which mediates property tax assessment disputes between landowners and the state Department of Assessments and Taxation, consists of three appointed members and one alternate.

Currently serving on the board are Chairman Roland Gosnell, Marian Kaltrider and alternate George Horvath Jr. Each serves four-year terms and is appointed by the governor's office.
