An Anne Arundel Community College engineering student won the top award in a statewide technical report-writing competition for students of two-year and four-year colleges and universities.

William Gilreath of Glen Burnie took the overall award of excellence for the best technical report submitted. He also received a $200 cash prize for his report, "ArtificialIntelligence."

Tricia Buckley of Severn, who,like Gilreath, is an electronic engineering technology major at the college, won an award of merit in the freshman-sophomore division. Her report covered scuba diving.
