Carroll County Med-Services Inc., sister company of Carroll County General Hospital, and Med-Care Associates Inc., owners of the Med-Carewalk-in and primary care medical center, have finalized a general partnership that will own and manage the Med-Care center.

CCMS will be the managing partner, effective immediately.

MCA is composed of a group of 11 physicians, all members of CCGH's medical staff.

"The walk-in center has played an important role in meeting the health-care needs of the community, and the hospital is interested in continuing to make sure that services the community needs are still available," said Linda Harder, spokeswoman for Med-Services.

The Med-Care walk-in center in the Crossroad Square shopping center has been providing medical care since the early 1980s, including night and weekend hours.
