Kenneth Watkins Retired carpenter

Services for Kenneth B. Watkins Jr., a retired carpenter, will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Patterson Funeral Home in Perryville.

Mr. Watkins, who lived in Perryville, died Saturday of heart failure at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace. He was 74.

Born in Baltimore, Mr. Watkins served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of American Legion posts in Rising Sun and Baltimore.

Until his retirement several years ago, he worked as a carpenter at the Peach Bottom nuclear power plant in Delta, Pa.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Watkins is survived by three daughters, Oela Marie Dixon of North Carolina; Sharon L. Wagg of Darlington and Joan L. Fox of Perryville; two sons, Kenneth B. Watkins III of Perryville and David M. Watkins of North East; a sister, Shirley L. Peyton of Fallston; a brother, Wilmer Watkins, also of Fallston; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
