J. Doris Gosnell, 63, died Monday at her Howard County home. She wasthe daughter of Nellie W. Pickett of Woodbine and the late James E. Pickett. Married twice, she was the wife of the late Lawrence E. Pickett. She is survived by her second husband, William H. Gosnell. She was a licensed practical nurse at Montgomery General Hospital. In addition to her husband, survivors include son, Larry W. Pickett of MountAiry; daughters Linda L. Reed of Sykesville, Gail A. Carroll and Debra A. Grimes, both of Mount Airy; brother, J. Ellsworth Pickett of Woodbine; sisters, Nancy L. Hand and Barbara J. Lewis, both of Frederick County; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

GAITHERSBURG

F. Agnes Dorsey, 99, died Thursday in Montgomery County. She was the wife of the late Robert B. Dorsey. Survivors include a daughter, Ethel L. Warfield of Sykesville; grandson, Ronald Warfield and two great-grandchildren, all of Sykesville. Elizabeth A. Richards, 82, a Baltimore County resident, died Friday at Carroll County General Hospital. She wasthe wife of the late Harry M. Richards. A retired teacher, she was amember of the Maryland Retired Teachers Association as well as the Glyndon United Methodist Church. Survivors include daughters Dorothy M. Nielsen of Colorado and Elizabeth R. Cree of Hampstead; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

HANOVER

Naomi M. Snyder, 81, died March 8 at Hanover General Hospital, Pennsylvania. She was the wifeof Milton Snyder. A life-member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, she taught Sunday school. She also was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of Manchester Fire Co. In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Dessie A. Hann of here.

LITTLESTOWN

Allen F. Selby, 54, aPennsylvania resident, died March 9 at Gettysburg Hospital in Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Peggy C. Selby. Employed at Craftlite Inc. here, he was a member of the Harney Veterans of Foreign Wars. In addition to his wife, survivors include stepsons James and Thomas Fiske of Hanover, Pa; stepdaughters Linda Bentz of Baltimore County, Susan Fiske and Sharon Laughman, both of here; brothers Kenneth of Gettysburg, George, Carroll and Francis, all of Harney; sister, Arlene Overholtzer of Gettysburg, and 10 step-grandchildren.

MOUNT AIRY

MaryS. Norris, 72, died Wednesday at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Adrean S. Norris. She was employed by the Frederick Trading Co. She also was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 191 here and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Survivors include daughters Ellen Green and Ann McVey, both of here; sisters Evelyn E. Allnutt and Hazel E. Souder, both of Frederick and Eleanor D. Gosnell of Florida; brother, Philip B.Souder of Frederick; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Laura E. King, 92, died Tuesday at her Baltimore County home here. She was the wife of the late George H. King. Survivorsinclude daughters, Helen C. Hickey of Edgewood, Baltimore County andAnne L. Gent of here; son, George H. Jr. of Westminster; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

TANEYTOWN

John F. Miller, 70, died March 8 at his home. He was the husband of Janet Domer Miller. AU.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Police. He had retired from Black & Decker Co. In addition to his wife, survivors include sons John F. Jr. of New York, Robert L. of Westminster, Stephen A. of Cecil County and Charles F. Sr. of Taneytown; sister, Mildred Waser of Virginia, and five grandchildren.

Walter C. Kulacki, 81, died March 10 at his home. He was the husband of the late Julia S. Kulacki. Retired from Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore, he was a member of the Steel Workers Union. Survivors include a son, Walter J. Keller of here; one granddaughter, Leslie H. Green of here, and a great-grandson.

UPPERCO

ThelmaW. Stockhausen, 82, died March 8 at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore. She was the mother of the late Milton E. Stockhausen. She was the wife of Edward W. Stockhausen. Retired from Western Electric Co. in Baltimore, she was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Millers, and the Order of Eastern Star in Manchester. In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Norma Efford of here; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

WESTMINSTER

William E. Weir,57, died March 8 at Carroll County General Hospital. He was the husband of Marilyn Weir. A sergeant in the U.S. Army, he had retired from the Department of Defense. A charter member of the Carroll County Chapter of the Society for Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America, he was Barbershopper of the Year in 1988. In addition to his wife, survivors include sons Jeffrey S. of Prince George's County and Keith of Washington; daughter, Kimberley R. of Baltimore, and sister Margaret P. Weihs of New Jersey.

Caroline H. Zendgraft, 68, died Tuesday at her home. Born in Finksburg, she was the daughter of Mary Sullivan Skinner and the late Carl Hubbard. She was the wife of Robert C. Zendgraft. Before her retirement, she worked at Baugher's Restaurant. In addition to her husband and mother, survivors include a stepson, Jack Sullivan of Finksburg; sisters Mary Jane Sullivan and Leona Morris, both of California, and Isabelle Cowan of Westminster.

Atlee W. Wampler Jr., 76, died Monday while vacationing in North Carolina. A graduate of Western Maryland College, hemanaged the furniture store, started by his father and enlarged it to a new building on Route 140. In World War II, he served in the U.S.Army, commanding a tank company. He was a member and past president of the Merchants Association of Westminster, and chairman of the original Carroll County Hospital Committee and chairman of the board of trustees at the hospital. Survivors include his wife, Janet S. Wampler. The couple would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June. Other survivors are son, Atlee W. III of Florida, and four grandchildren.

Gladys C. Richardson, 87, died Tuesday at Carroll County General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Walter E. Richardson. She was a member of Sandy Mount United Methodist Church and the Sandy Villagers. Survivors include Mr. and Mrs. Arthur H. Sullivan, withwhom she resided, and several nieces and nephews.
