*Navy Seaman Recruit Jeremy P. Lucas, son of Nancy J. Collier of Keymar, has completed recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

During his eight-week training cycle, he studied general military subjects designed to prepare him for further academic and on-the-job training in one of the Navy's 85 basic fields.

His studies included seamanship, close-order drill, naval historyand first aid.

Navy personnel who complete this course of instruction are eligible for three hours of college credit in physical education and hygiene.

Lucas is a 1990 graduate of Walkersville High School, Frederick County.

* Coast Guard Cadet Jeffrey A. Lee, son ofRobert E. and Carol J. Lee of Westminster, was selected for the Commandant of Cadets' List at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, Conn.

He earned placement on the Commandant of Cadets' List by displaying exemplary military leadership abilities and by achieving A grades in both conduct and aptitude.

Lee is a 1987 graduate of Westminster High School.

* Marine Pfc. William M. Moses has been promoted to his present rank while serving at Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Va.

The son of Billy Moses of New Windsor, he is a 1990 graduate ofNew Oxford Senior High School, New Oxford, Pa.

He joined the Marine Corps in June 1990.
