ORLANDO, Fla. -- Don Pooley put something new in his swing and moved into the lead yesterday at the halfway point of the Nestle Invitational.

Arnold Palmer found something old -- that old-time putting touch -- and made the cut in the tournament he hosts at the Bay Hill Club, which he owns.

It was the first time in seven years that Palmer had made the cut in his own tournament, the first time since the 1989 PGA Championship that he had made it into weekend competition in a regular tour event and only the third time in five seasons that he had made it against players 20 and 30 years his junior.
