Robbery spree

In the wake of a recent rash of armed robberies at area supermarkets and fast-food outlets, almost half of the callers to SUNDIAL this past weekend said they had changed their shopping and dining habits for fear of being victimized by the gunmen.

Of 452 callers Friday, 213, or 47 percent, said they had changed their shopping habits, while 239 said they had not. Forty percent of 452 callers, or 180, said they had changed their dining habits, while 272 said they had not.

"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically, as would be done in a scientific public opinion poll.
