Mark S. Tidgewell of Columbia has been named chief operating officerfor Green Spring Mental Health Services by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maryland.

Before joining Green Spring, Tidgewell served as vice president and chief financial officer at MCC Companies, a subsidiary of CIGNA Corp.

He is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor's degreein accounting and economics from St. Mary's College of California.
