Georgiana Simmel Tyler has been named vice president, general brokerage division manager by Columbia-based American Properties Inc.

Tyler has more than 13 years experience in real estate and recently hasserved as president of the Maryland Association of Realtors and a nominee for vice president, region 3, of the National Association of Realtors.
