State and local highway agencies report no new highway projects this week. However, construction is currently extensive on several highways, including I-95, U.S. 50/301 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

New bus/Metro fares

The Mass Transit Administration plans no changes in bus routes this week. However, bus and Metro fares go up 10 cents today. The new base fare is $1.10, but the cost of transfers, interzonal travel and monthly passes remains the same. The new fare for senior citizens with disabilities is 40 cents, up a nickel; students now pay 75 cents instead of 70 cents.
