The Carroll Kennel Club had a dog obedience match last weekend at the Carroll County Agricultural Center.

Owners paid $4 for each dog entered in the two-day event.

The results of the show are:

Highest score obedience -- 195 1/2; dog's name -- Cannings Gambel Von Shomberg (kennel name); owner --Elizabeth McDonnell of Frederick; breed --German short hair pointer.

Best puppy in match (6 to 9 months old) -- no score given; dog's name -- Paulette (call name); owner -- Barbara Henderson of Laurel; breed --Whippet.

Best adult dog in match (at least 1 year old) -- no score given; dog's name -- Jackpot (call name); owner -- Gwen Law of Severn; breed -- West Highland white terrier.
