Should teachers give up their 6% raise because other county workers,due to the budget crunch, are likely to get little, if any, extra?

"Yes. It's a two-sided coin. If you're going to get the same amount of service, you should get more services for more pay. If they're going to provide added services, fine, then I think I should get a raise, and if not, maybe they shouldn't get a raise right now."
