Eleven-year-old Colin Timothy Stewart, the 1984 and 1985 Maryland poster child for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, died Monday at his home in Swannanoa, N.C.

Services for Timothy will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Miller funeral establishment in Black Mountain, North Carolina.

Timothy was born in Baltimore while his father, Samuel Lee Stewart Jr., now in the contracting business in Swannanoa, was pitching for the Orioles. The boy attended kindergarten and first grade at the Perry Hall Elementary School.

In addition to his father, survivors include his mother, Peggy Jean Stewart of Swannanoa; a sister, Alicia Stewart of Swannanoa; his maternal grandfather, Charlie Logan of Old Fort, N.C.; his paternal grandparents, Samuel Lee and Faye Stewart of Swannanoa; and two great-grandmothers, Manila Wardrup and Erie Morton, both of Swannanoa.

The family suggested memorial contributions to the Maryland chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
