How would you describe your taste in clothing?

Classic to exotic. My taste ranges from the classic two-piece suit to a soft cotton summer outfit that I love. It's blue Arab diaper pants with a camisole to match. I like pieces that I can coordinate. My favorite winter color is purple and for summer, black and white accented with red.

What's the newest thing in your closet?

A good looking Doncaster custom-made black jacket and pants outfit. The jacket is military style with gold buttons down the front. I can wear to a dressy affair with a gold bustier, gold accessories and black and gold evening shoes.

What's the oldest thing in your closet?

It's multi-colored sweater coat that seems to go with most of the things in my winter wardrobe.

Do you have a true "standby" that you wear to feel good?

It's a three-piece purple wool jersey suit. This outfit is neat, because I can interchange the three pieces with other things in my closet. And it can be dressed up or down with accessories.

What have you held on to for sentimental reasons?

My Western High School graduation dress. I graduated in it and wore it to the senior prom.

What is your wardrobe weakness?

Shoes and earrings. I bet I have more than 50 pairs of shoes and that's being conservative. I love all kinds and all colors. Flats, sandals, pumps, evening or casual, I love shoes.

What's the most expensive item in your closet?

I treated myself to a gorgeous royal blue Ultrasuede suit.

What's the least expensive item in your closet?

I like to go to Loehmann's and pick up bargains like the brown suede slacks I bought for $39.

What's the wildest outfit you've ever bought?

I just bought a pair of black leather shorts -- for me that's pretty wild. I'll wear them when I go roller skating with my daughter. I'll probably wear a T-shirt with them.

What are your favorite accessories?

I like necklace and earring sets and scarfs. I have all kind of matching sets and I love the snarf, a combination necklace/scarf that a friend of mine recently discovered in a beauty salon.

Do you have any shopping tips to share?

Have a well planned wardrobe, with colors that complement you. Begin with a basic suit, slacks, sweaters, dresses and build on them. When you do that, you can wear the same items for years and no one will know, because you can change the look of your outfits.
