BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone broke a window at Northwest Auto Sales in the 5100 block of Reisterstown Road and made off with business equipment valued at $315 early yesterday morning.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A lock was broken on a storeroom in the 3300 block of Devonshire Drive early yesterday and someone took a power drill and wooden ladder valued at $440, police said.

LARCENY: Northwestern District -- A videocassette recorder valued at $250 was removed from a residence in the 3900 block of Park Heights Ave. without the owner's permission.

ASSAULT: Northwestern District -- A 14-year-old boy was charged with beating and attempting to stab his mother, who lives in the 3800 block of Park Heights Ave. The woman apparently was not seriously injured in the attack.

LARCENY: Northwestern District -- Someone who had access to keys used them to enter management offices at Reisterstown Road Plaza over the weekend and rifled through desks, it was reported yesterday. Taken were coins and money orders valued at $650.

LARCENY: Northwestern District -- Ten men's rings, value not available, were taken from a display case at Elite Jewelry in Mondawmin Shopping Center, 1200 Mondawmin Concourse, police said.

LARCENY/ARREST: Northwestern District -- A man was charged with shoplifting after employees at the High Energy clothing store in Reisterstown Road Plaza reported that a silk shirt-and-trousers set was taken from a rack. James McCray, 29, address unavailable, was being held at the station early today, police said. No bail had yet been set.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A house in the 3000 block )) of Piedmont Avenue was burglarized yesterday when someone forced open the rear basement door. Taken were three leather coats, a jacket and jewelry, value undetermined.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Residents of a home in the 5700 block of Pimlico Road began screaming when they realized someone had broken the basement window and entered the house. Their screams apparently scared off the burglar, but not before the person escaped with a watch and cash, valued at a total of $550. The burglary occurred between 4 and 4:30 a.m. yesterday.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Charles Brown, 62, was walking in the 4300 block of Springdale Ave. when he was approached by a man with a handgun who demanded: "Give me everything you got." Brown gave the man $70.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- An unlocked window in the rear of a house in the 4400 block of Garrison Blvd. yesterday provided access to someone who took a television, videocassette recorder and a stereo valued at $1,215.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A color television set and videocassette recorder, total value of $1,000, were taken from a home in the 1200 block of Argonne Drive. The method of entry into the home has not been determined.

LARCENY: Northeastern District -- An illuminated, double-faced sign valued at $2,000 was taken from outside Glenmore Gardens, in the 4800 block of Belair Road. The theft was first noticed yesterday, but could have occurred any time in the past week, police were told.

LARCENY: Northeastern District -- About $300 in cash, costume jewelry and hair-cutting equipment were taken from a closet in Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School in the 3500 block Hillen Road, police said.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Stereo equipment, two televisions and $250 in cash were taken from a house in the 4700 block of Ellison Ave. Entry was gained through an unlocked window in the front of the house. Total value of the stolen items was placed at $3,470.

LARCENY/ARREST: Northeastern District -- A 16-year-old girl was released to her parents after she was arrested and charged with stealing items from the Giant Food store in the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane.

LARCENY/AUTO: Northeastern District -- A suitcase containing 20 cassette tapes and some coins were taken from a 1985 Nissan parked in the rear of a residence in the 5800 block of Lillyan Ave. Value of stolen items was placed at $240.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Northeastern District -- A 15-year-old boy was sent to the Charles H. Hickey Jr. Training School after he attacked an employee at the Woodbourne Center, 1300 block of Woodbourne Ave. The boy attempted to stab Hansberry Moore, 40, with a screwdriver at 5:15 p.m. yesterday. Moore was not injured in the attack.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A 14-carat gold watch valued at $260 was stolen yesterday from a home in the 3500 block of Elmora Ave. Entry apparently was gained by breaking a basement window, police said.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A 49-year-old man told police he was walking in the first block of W. 27th St. late Sunday when he was approached by three men, one of whom brandished a knife. They took $16 from Sambasiba Reddy and cut his ear, police said.

LARCENY: Northern District -- About $250 in property was taken from St. David's Episcopal Church in the 4700 block of Roland Ave.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone forced open the door of Maryland Realtor, 1400 block of Union Ave., entered and turned on a gas stove. However, nothing was taken.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A living room window was forced open on a house in the 5500 block of Midwood Ave. Property valued at $3,376, including a camcorder and tape player, was taken from the home.

LARCENY: Northern District -- James Johnson, of the 800 block of Druid Park Lake Drive, told police that he believes a female friend who was visiting him took $250 that was hidden under his rug.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A lock was broken on a storage room at the Ridgemede Apartments, 200 block of Ridgemede Road, sometime between Jan. 15 and March 3. Stolen was a queen-size sofa bed, valued at $500.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- The front door of a home in the 3400 block of Greenway was pried open. Taken was a Nikon camera, valued at $712.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Preston Padmore is in good condition at University of Maryland Medical Center, police said, recovering from a gunshot wound in his left hip. Padmore was shot late Sunday by a man who took an undetermined amount of cash from him in a robbery in the 1100 block of N. Arlington Ave.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A rear door was forced open on a house in the 200 block of N. Amity St. A television and videocassette recorder valued at $480 were taken.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Pethsula Graves told police she was walking in the 500 block of Gold St. when she was robbed of $50 by a razor-wielding woman. Her assailant is apparently known to Graves, but has not been apprehended.

LARCENY/AUTO: Western District -- Jerome Small told police his car, parked in the 2300 block of Edmondson Ave., was broken into overnight. Taken were a radar detector and compact disc player valued at $420.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Cynthia and Lloyd Elsezy were walking in the 200 block of N. Fremont Ave. when they were approached by two men with handguns. The men took $20 from Cynthia and a man's watch valued at $150 from Lloyd.

LARCENY/ARREST: Western District -- Two bags of dish cloths valued at $150 were taken from a vehicle parked in the 2500 block of Pennsylvania Ave. Police said Donald King, of the 900 block of N. Carrollton St., was arrested in connection with the theft. He was being held at the station, awaiting bail review.

ABDUCTION: Central District -- Tony McKay, 36, told police he was waiting for a bus in the first block of E. North Ave. early yesterday when three men kidnapped him at gunpoint, drove him to Baltimore County, robbed him of $80 and left him there.

BURGLARY: Central District -- A camera, a gold rope necklace, six Ninja turtles and various other items with a total value of $915 were removed from a home in the 1600 block of McCulloh St. after someone broke a second-story window and entered the house.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone climbed over the fence at the American Lumber Corp. in the 500 block of S. Caton Ave., broke into the office and stole tools valued at $446.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Towson District -- A woman was pulled out of her 1985 Ford Tempo in the 1400 block of Stevenson Lane by a man who then fled in the car at 10:22 a.m. yesterday. Minutes later, police said, Ned Montgomery, 32, of the 2200 block of Greenmount Ave. in the city, was arrested after he was involved in a minor traffic accident while driving the Ford Tempo. He was being held at the station in lieu of $110,000 bail for charges including robbery, grand theft, petty theft and battery. The victim was identified as Ann Darr, address unavailable.

ROBBERY: Garrison District -- Three men approached Kurt Jeffrey Coles, age and address unavailable, in the 8600 block of Liberty Road and robbed him at gunpoint, police said. One man pointed a blue steel revolver at Coles, while the other two went through his pockets.

ROBBERY: Garrison District -- Barbara Jean Jordan, 24, was robbed when she tried to use an automatic teller machine at Signet Bank in the 3600 block of Milford Mill Road. Police said one man held a knife to Jordan's throat and her used her card to take $200 from the machine. He and a second man, who had acted as the look-out, then fled with the cash and her purse.

ROBBERY: Wilkens District -- A man fitting the description of a robber who held up three convenience stores Sunday and Monday robbed a Royal Farm Store in the 500 block of Edmondson Ave., police said. About 1 a.m. today, a man with a blue steel revolver entered the store, took an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot.
