Carsten Brinkmann FTC Stunt pilot, instructor


Services for Carsten Sierck Brinkmann, a stunt airplane pilot and aerobatics instructor, will be at 1 p.m. today at the Witzke Funeral Home, 1630 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville.

Mr. Brinkmann, who was 74, died of heart failure Friday at his Catonsville home.

Born in Baltimore, he performed and helped organize air shows along the East Coast. A member of several pilot organizations, including Quiet Birdmen and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, he still was teaching stunt flying at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife of four years, Margaret Pray Brinkmann of Catonsville; a stepdaughter, Georgia Stevens of Washington; a cousin, Theodore Sierck Brinkmann of Ellicott City; two nieces, Holly Sierck and Heidi Ann Brinkmann, both of Columbia Hills; and a granddaughter.
