* Marine Pvts. William H. Hill and Chad M. Austin and Pfc. Bradford W. Reaves have completed recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C.

During the 13-week training cycle, they were taught the basics of battlefield survival.

Hill is the son of William H. Hill III of Lineboro and Bonni V. Hill of Mount Airy. He is a 1990 graduate of South Carroll High School.

Austin is the son of Butch and Laura Austin of Manchester and a 1990 graduate of North Carroll High School.

Reaves is the son of Ronald E. Reaves of Westminster and a 1990 graduate of South Hagerstown High School, Washington County.
