A Mass of Christian burial for Margaret Macon, a retired executive secretary at the Equitable Trust Bank who also had operated a china business for many years, will be offered at 1 p.m. today at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 101 Church Lane, Texas.

Mrs. Macon, who was 72 and moved to Pompano Beach, Fla., in 1986, died of cancer Feb. 22 at a hospital in nearby Fort Lauderdale.

She had worked at the bank, recently merged into the Maryland National Bank, from 1973 until 1983. For many years, she also operated a service that sold replacement pieces of Haviland China.

Born in Baltimore, the former Margaret Reilly graduated from Mount St. Agnes High School and the Strayer Business College.

Her husband of nearly 50 years, Edward Jones Macon, who had owned a construction company, died last August.

She is survived by a daughter, Jane M. Rosier of Parkville; three sons, Edward R. Macon of Shawsville, Michael J. Macon of Parkton and John A. Macon of Parkville; and four granddaughters.
