Morgan Wayson Sr. Lothian businessman

Services for Morgan W. Wayson Sr., a businessman and retired contractor in Lothian, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Christ Episcopal Church, 220 Owensville Road, West River.

Mr. Wayson, who was living in the Owensville home where he had been born, died of cancer Monday at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was 78.

He retired about five years ago as a partner in Hopkins and Wayson, a general contracting company he helped start in 1944. He remained an owner of Wayson's Bingo and Wayson's Restaurant and Mobile Home Park, both at Wayson's Corner in the Lothian area.

Mr. Wayson was a former member of the vestry of Christ Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Hopkins; a son, Morgan W. Wayson Jr. of West River; two daughters, Mary Lou Waller and Diane W. Groves, both of Friendship; a brother, Eugene W. Wayson ofWest River; a sister, Ella W. Welch of Lothian; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
