All personnel serving in Operation Desert Storm now are eligible to join the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Joseph Stoffa, commander of theHampstead VFW, said that parents of service personnel may enroll them in their absence. Dues are $15 per year.

The VFW is involved in several community service projects, including clothing drives and caring for the town's war memorial.
