David S. Harris Police union lawyer

Services for David Stanley Harris, a lawyer for the Baltimore County Fraternal Order of Police, will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Sol Levinson and Brothers Funeral Home, 6010 Reisterstown Road in Pikesville.

Mr. Harris died in his sleep after a heart attack in his Pikesville home Friday. He was 58.

He was born in Baltimore and lived most of his life in the Baltimore area. He graduated from Charlotte Hall Military Academy in 1951 and earned a business degree from the University of Maryland and a law degree from the University of Maryland Law School in Baltimore. He was a leading authority on the Police Officers Bill of Rights.

Mr. Harris was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, the former Helaine "Honey" Rokoff; his parents, Ida and Maurice Harris of Pikesville; a son, Stephen Harris of New Jersey; two daughters, Susan Herskovitz of Owings Mill and Carolyn Harris of Philadelphia; and one grandson.
