Services for Edward C. Kopicky, a retired administrator for the State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the John C. Miller Funeral Home, 6415 Belair Road.
Mr. Kopicky, who was 70 and lived in Bel Air, died Thursday of cancer at the Timonium home of his daughter. He retired in 1986 after working for about 10 years for the health department. Earlier, he worked for many years at the Martin Marietta Corp. here, and in the early 1960s in Colorado.
Born in Baltimore, he was a graduate of the Polytechnic Institute and was graduated from the University of Baltimore in 1951 after serving in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Harford Post of the American Legion.
Mr. Kopicky is survived by his wife, the former Helen C. Eberhardt; his daughter, Dr. Joyce K. Burd of Timonium; a son, Edward E. Kopicky of Cary, N.C.; two brothers, Elmer L. Kopicky of Baltimore and Arthur W. Kopicky of Denver; and four grandchildren.
The family suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Oncology Center at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
