Coppin State's Larry Stewart, who averaged 24.2 points and 13.5 rebounds, was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Year yesterday for the second straight season.
Coppin's Fang Mitchell was selected as Coach of the Year.
Stewart, a 6-foot-8 senior from Philadelphia, was named on 12 of 18 ballots by the league's head coaches and sports information directors.
Stewart and teammate Reggie Isaac were named to the all-MEAC first team, and Coppin center Larry McCollum was a second-team pick.
