The Carroll Board of Education unanimously adopted a resolution to extend its contract with Superintendent R. Edward Shilling for four more years.

Shilling's contract with the board expires June 30.The Carroll native was appointed superintendent in May 1987.

" I feel real proud of some of the things that have happened in the past four years," Shilling said." It was a system that wanted to change.It wasn't just me."

The superintendent recieves an annual salary of $98,626.
