An article yesterday in The Sun said Scott Piechowicz and Susan C. Kennedy, two employees of the Pikesville Warren House motor hotel, were killed in 1983 to prevent them from testifying in a federal drug case.

In fact, it was Mr. Piechowicz and his wife -- Ms. Kennedy's sister -- who were to have testified. Ms. Kennedy was working for her sister at the time of the shooting and apparently was shot by mistake.

The Sun regrets the error.
