LOS ANGELES -- Baseball Hall of Famer Joe Morgan has won $540,000 in 1amages in a federal court lawsuit in which Morgan claimed he was detained and roughed up by a Los Angeles police detective who mistook him for a drug suspect. Yesterday, the six-member jury found Detective Clayton Searle had violated Morgan's constitutional rights by arresting him without probable cause and using excessive force in a March 15, 1988, incident at Los Angeles International Airport.
