Anita L. Dawson Meat manager for Giant


A Mass of Christian burial for Anita L. Dawson, a meat manager for Giant Food Inc., will be offered at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph's Passionist Monastery Roman Catholic Church, Monastery Avenue and Old Frederick Road.

Ms. Dawson, who was 45 and lived on Old Washington Boulevard in Halethorpe, died early Wednesday of cancer at St. Agnes Hospital.

She had became a meat department manager at Giant stores two years ago, after eight years as a meat cutter for the company. Earlier, she was a meat cutter at A&P; food stores for about 10 years.

The former Anita L. Potts, was born in Baltimore and graduated from Southern High School.

She liked traveling and was a member of the August Ravieo Unit of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by two sons, Timothy W. and Patrick B. Dawson, both of Halethorpe; a sister, Nancy L. Potts of Catonsville; and two brothers, H. Edward Potts of Edgewater and Robert E. Potts of Baltimore.
