Boston Red Sox -- Agreed in principle to two-year contract plus tTC option with OF Tom Brunansky (.267, 15, 71) worth about $8 million. Brunansky, who earned $1.5 million in 1990, had filed for $2.75 million in arbitration for 1991, and the Red Sox had offered $2 million.
Cincinnati Reds -- Agreed to 2-year contract with OF Billy Hatcher (.276, 5, 25 plus World Series-record 7 consecutive hits) worth $3.2 million with club option for 1993. He made $690,000 last season. Signed 3B Chris Sabo (.270, 25, 71) for $1.25 million, a raise of $990,000.
Cleveland Indians -- Agreed to 1-year contract with SS Felix Fermin (.256, 0 HRs, 40 RBI) for $575,000, a raise of $385,000.
Houston Astros -- Signed P Don Carman (6-2, 4.15 ERA with Philadelphia Phillies) to 1-year contract.
