Two services are planned today for Jack F. Pritchard, a retired secretary of an insurance company in Baltimore, who died Thursday at the Salisbury Nursing Home after a long illness.
At 10 a.m., services will be held at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. At 2:30 p.m., services will be held at the Druid Ridge Cemetery, Park Heights and Old Court roads.
Mr. Pritchard, who was 84, moved to Salisbury from Stoneleigh in 1972. He retired in 1969 as secretary of Alexander & Alexander Inc., where he had worked 36 years.
During World War II, he was a purser on merchant ships.
Mr. Pritchard was born in Philadelphia and reared in Baltimore, where he graduated from City College and the Baltimore College of Commerce. He became a certified public accountant in 1937 and belonged to the state association of CPAs.
He was the first president of the Loch Raven Optimist Club and a member of the Greenhill Yacht and Country Club.
Mr. Pritchard is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, the former Grace Foster; a son, Douglas F. Pritchard of Berlin; two daughters, Elizabeth L. Marshall of Salisbury and Susan G. Sinkhorn of Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y.; a sister, Marjorie P. Rowell of Rockville; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
