You can be adventurous or play it safe at this restaurant and carryout. Authentic Sichuan-style meals such as hot and spicy Kung Pao chicken ($7.95) are served alongside such conventional fare such as sweet and sour shrimp ($10.95).
For those in search of dining adventure, try one of the chef's suggestions. These include braised duck topped with shrimp, pork, scallops, chicken and vegetables ($15.95). Shrimp with wine sauce ($13.95) and lemon chicken ($10.95) are also very good.
Appetizers range from the tried-and-true -- including two egg rolls for $2.40 -- to the exotic, such as Hunan-style cold duck salad ($6.95). Other appetizers include soft wonton in a hot spicy sauce ($4.50). Wonton soup and hot and sour soup are $1.25 each, while creamy seafood soup for two is $6.50.
Hot and spicy foods, starred on the menu, include shredded pork with garlic sauce ($7.95) or chicken with orange peel in spicy sauce ($9.95).
But there's plenty of Americanized food, too, such as pork fried rice ($3.50 a pint) or vegetable chow mein ($6.30 a quart). One quart of shrimp lo mein is $6.95; one quart of chicken egg foo young is $5.50.
