THE BALTIMORE SUN

NEWMARKET, Ontario -- The Newmarket Saints got a hat trick from left wing Bob Reynolds and two goals each from Joe Sacco and Mike Millar, propelling them to a 9-1 victory over the Baltimore Skipjacks in an American Hockey League game at Newmarket Complex last night.

Darren Veitch and Gilles Thibaudeau had single goals for the Saints, who improved to 19-26-7 on the season. Millar, a former Skipjack, assisted on Thibaudeau's goal.

The Saints were leading, 9-0, with 45 seconds remaining in the game when Steve Maltais scored the Baltimore goal, his 29th of the season, on assists by Tim Bergland and Tim Taylor.

The Skipjacks (27-21-3) remain six points behind the first-place Rochester Americans, who were idle, in the Southern Division. They visit the Hershey Bears tomorrow night at 7:35.
