ASSAULT ON POLICE: Western District -- Police reported that Officer Scott Pumphrey was in the 2200 block of Madison Ave. when he spotted two men armed with handguns. As Pumphrey approached them, they pointed their weapons at him and then fled. No shots were fired.
ASSAULT: Western District -- Police reported that during an incident inside a residence in the 1900 block of W. North Ave., Cornelius Rose, of the 1900 block of W. North Ave., reported that he had an argument at home with a 19-year-old male acquaintance and was struck in the chest with a crowbar. Rose was listed in good condition today at Sinai Hospital with a rib injury.
BURGLARY: Western District -- Police reported that someone broke in through the kitchen door of a dwelling in the 1000 block of W. Lanvale St. and stole an AM-FM portable radio valued at $400.
ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Two residents of the 5000 block of Denview Way were robbed of their coats while they walked in the 5400 block of Sinclair Lane. Michael Thompson, 19, and Anthony Reeves, 18, were accosted by two men, one armed with a handgun. The coats were valued at $305.
BURGLARY/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police responding to a burglary in progress in the 3300 block of Richmond Ave. arrested a man who was attempting to leave the scene with an air conditioner valued at $200. Michael Tolliver, 34, of the 1100 block of N. Montford Ave., was charged with burglary.
BURGLARY/ARREST: Western District -- Police investigating a burglary in the 2100 block of McCulloh St. arrested a man as he was attempting to leave the dwelling with a VCR. The man was being held pending charges.
ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Michael Powell, 34, of the 3800 block of Woodridge Ave., reported he was in the 2900 block of Harford Road when a man with a handgun accosted him and robbed him of more than $100 in cash.
THEFT: Northern District -- Jay Simmons, of the 2700 block of N. Howard St., reported that someone broke into his parked 1979 Chevrolet in the 100 block of W. 28th St. and stole clothing and the battery, all valued at more than $400.
ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police reported that a man armed with a handgun entered the SCS Variety Ltd. store in the 3800 block of Pall Mall Road and robbed an employee of an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.
THEFT: Northern District -- Brenda Hill, of the 2700 block of Boone St., reported that someone entered her home over the weekend and stole clothing valued at more than $200. She said she suspects a male acquaintance who had been there earlier.
ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police said a man at the 7-Eleven store in the 100 block of E. 25th St. walked behind the counter, placed a hard object into the back of an employee and demanded that he open the cash register. The employee became frightened and was unable to open the register. The assailant then grabbed two cartons of cigarettes from a display rack and fled out the door.
ARSON: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone poured flammable liquid on a porch at the Belair Professional Building in the 6400 block of Belair Road Tuesday night and set it afire, causing minor damage. A city firefighter sustained minor injuries fighting the blaze and was treated at an area hospital. Police had no motive for the fire.
ROBBERY TRY: Northeastern District -- Sardari Ali, of the 4200 block of Mary Ave., reported she was walking in the 3200 block of Belair Road shortly before 11 a.m. yesterday when a man grabbed the briefcase she was carrying, but she held on during a struggle and the assailant fled.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2000 block of Odell Ave. reported that someone forced open a door to her apartment and stole property valued at nearly $400.
ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Evelyn Shipwith, of the 5900 block of Bowleys Lane, reported she was standing at a bus stop in the 5200 block of Parkside Drive around noon yesterday when a man robbed her of property she was carrying and drove off in a car. Later, police arrested a 30-year-old suspect and were holding him pending charges and a bail hearing.
CUTTING: Northeastern District -- Police were seeking a 13-year-old boy in the stabbing of a 14-year-old boy about 4 p.m. yesterday during an argument in the 3200 block of Harford Road. Police said the younger juvenile stabbed the victim in the chest with a knife, inflicting a minor injury.
THEFT: Western District -- Roland Goodin, of the 5500 block of Midwood Ave., reported that someone broke into his parked car in the 2700 block of Walbrook Ave. and stole a telephone and tools, all valued at nearly $1,200.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Jay Brown, of the 2100 block of N. Fulton Ave., reported that a man with a handgun accosted him at home and robbed him of cash, a TV set and a ring, all valued at more than $400.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Lillie Walker, of the 2500 block of Winchester St., reported she was walking two blocks from her home early yesterday when two men assaulted her and stole her purse containing $80.
BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 1400 block of W. Lafayette Ave. reported that someone forced open her front door yesterday morning and stole $400 and a checkbook.
THEFTS/ARRESTS: Northeastern District -- Police arrested two men and a 40-year-old woman in separate shoplifting incidents yesterday at the K mart store in the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane. Police said property valued at more than $100 was recovered.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Darryl Levi, of the 1600 block of W. Lanvale St., reported he was in the 800 block of N. Gilmor St. when a man with a handgun robbed him of a gold ring, a watch, a jacket and $50.
ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that a man with a handgun entered the Friendly's restaurant in the 5700 block of Belair Road around 7 p.m. yesterday and robbed an employee of more than $100 from the cash register.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Yanze Cobbs, of the 800 block of Poplar Grove St., reported he was in the 1100 block of Poplar Grove St. when two men accosted him and robbed him of nearly $100.
ROBBERY: Towson District -- A man supposedly buying a soft drink at the Country's Best Yogurt store in the 700 block of York Road waited until the clerk opened the cash register before drawing a handgun and robbing the clerk of more than $100. The robber fled on foot.
ROBBERY: Wilkens District -- Police were seeking two men who entered the Royal Farm store at Edmondson Avenue and the Beltway shortly before 3 a.m. today and robbed an employee of an undetermined amount of money from the cash register.
ROBBERY: Garrison District -- Police said two men, one armed with a chrome-plated revolver, entered the Toys R Us store in the 10000 block of Reisterstown Road around 9:30 p.m. yesterday and fled moments later with an undisclosed sum of cash. Police said the robbers were seen driving toward the Beltway in a blue Dodge Daytona.
ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- A deliveryman for Domino's Pizza at Pace Plaza reported he was in the 6800 block of Richardson Ave. when a man with a handgun robbed him of an undisclosed sum of cash and the pizza he was carrying.

ROBBERY: Freetown Village -- Police reported that a man was walking on Levy Court late Monday evening when three men attacked him, struck him in the face with their fists and robbed him of a small amount of money and a gold ring.
ARSON: Brooklyn Park -- Police today were seeking information and a motive that may lead them to the arrest of the person who threw a Molotov cocktail against a dwelling in the 200 block of Southerly Road. A woman in the house reported she heard an explosion shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday, saw flames outside a window and called the fire department. Investigators later found a vodka bottle that they said had contained gasoline.
BURGLARY: Glen Burnie -- A resident of the 3300 block of Fort Meade Road reported that someone forced open a door to his home and stole $400.
BURGLARY: Glen Burnie -- Police reported that appliances valued at more than $500 were stolen from a dwelling in the 700 block of Deering Road after someone forced open a door.
ARRESTS: Columbia -- Police arrested two males, one of them a juvenile, and were seeking two others in connection with the assault of a teacher at Centennial High School during a spree of misconduct that included disrupting classes at Centennial and Hammond High. Police said four males went to Hammond High Monday and ran through the hallways and several classrooms, causing disturbances. After being ordered away by teachers, the four drove to Centennial, where they yelled obscenities at students and teachers. Police said a Centennial teacher attempted to evict the four, but one of them struck him in the face. Later, police arrested Mario A. Lee, 19, of the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Road, and charged him with assault and battery, trespassing, disorderly conduct and related charges. Police said a 16-year-old Columbia youth was arrested on similar charges. Police said Lee was released on his own recognizance, while the juvenile was released in the custody of his parents. Police are seeking two other men, one of them from Baltimore. Police said the four had been drinking during the spree and one of them had a girlfriend who attends Hammond High.
ROBBERIES: Columbia -- Police reported that two men, one armed with a shotgun, robbed two women of their purses Monday. The victims, ages 46 and 50, were walking to a car parked in the Wincopin Circle garage when they were stopped by the men, who ordered them to give up their purses. Police said the gunman and his accomplice fled the scene on foot and the victims were not injured.
ROBBERY: Laurel -- Two men, both armed with handguns, entered the office of the Weis Markets outlet in the 9200 block of All Saints Road and ordered employees there to give them money. Police said that during the robbery, one of the gunman struck a male employee in the head, causing a minor laceration. Police said the pair, who were wearing ski masks, fled the store with an undisclosed sum of money.
THEFT: Westminster -- Ester L. Ibex, of the 1300 block of Old Manchester Road, reported that someone entered the front yard of her home and stole a ceramic stable boy lawn ornament. Police said the ornament was valued at $30.
THEFT: Mount Airy -- Employees of Fyne Furnishings in the 1500 block of S. Main St. reported the theft of two tires from a company truck. Police said the tires were valued at nearly $200.
