Services took place for Severna Park resident Donald Wade Walters Saturday, Jan. 19, at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.

Mr. Walters, 52, died of heart failure on Jan. 16 in Washington, D.C.

He served as a sergeant in theU.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1961, then became a dispatcher for O'Boyle Tank Lines in Baltimore. He worked for Skyline Transport in Baltimore, then at E.I. Kane Trucking Co. as a project manager. He was employed as a project manager for Transcontinental Enterprises in Washington at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Judith K. Patten Walters; a son, Drew W. Walters of Severna Park; a daughter, Carol L. Walters of Severna Park; two brothers, CharlesL. Walters of Roanoke, Va., and Dennis Walters of Brooklyn Park.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.


Services took place for Severn resident Ralph Hershall Daugherty on Saturday, Jan. 19, at Singleton Funeral Home.

Mr. Daugherty, 73, died Jan. 17 at North Arundel Hospital.

A county resident for 17 years, he was a barber. He served in the Navy in World War II.

Interests included fishing, horses and hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, C. Wanda Johnson Daugherty; daughters, Sherry L. Skinner and Dedtria L. Daugherty; brothers, William C. Daugherty, Ronald E. Daugherty, Martin R. Daugherty, John Daugherty, David Daugherty and Jacky Daugherty; sisters, Naomi P.Johnson, Delores Bell, Maryann Bacon, Carol Jane Daugherty and Elizabeth Slater; mother, Audrey L. Kenim; stepmother, Stella Daugherty; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.


A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated for Annapolis resident Caroline J. Gitshall Besche Saturday, Jan. 19, at St. Andrews by the Bay.

Mrs. Besche, 61, died Jan. 16 at Good SamaritanHospital.

A homemaker, she was devoted to her family, cooking andgardening.

She was a member of St. Andrews by the Bay.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Charles A. Besche; four sons, Christopher C. Besche of Tucson, Ariz., Michael P. Besche of Perry Hall, Charles F. Besche of Severna Park and Phillip J. Besche of Annapolis; and five grandchildren.

Services took place for Glen Burnie resident Catherine Marie Brady Thursday, Jan. 17, at Singleton FuneralHome.

Mrs. Brady, 81, died Jan. 14 at North Arundel Hospital.

A county resident since 1945, she worked as a clerk in the Anne Arundel County payroll department until her retirement about 15 years ago.

She was a member of the Church of the Crucifixion in Marley.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Accinelli and Catherine Costello; three sons, Edwin Brady, Robert Brady and William Brady; eightgrandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
