Manchester - William Harvey Hart, 74, a machinist at Western Electric, died Sunday at Carroll County General Hospital. Mount Airy - Ruby Virginia Gaither, 89, a member of Linganore United Methodist Church in Unionville, Frederick County, died at Frederick Health Care Center after an extended illness. Survivors include her son, John D. III; brothers, Preston and Issac Sayler of near Union Bridge; sisters, Mary Potter Bias of Charlestown, W. Va., Marcie Ecker of Westminster, and Ruth Keefer of near Union Bridge; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

New Windsor - George Sterling Stoner, 83, a farmer in Carroll and Frederick county orchards, died in an auto accident Thursday on Route 31 near Edgewood, Harford County. He is survived by his brother, Harvey Leighton of Union Bridge; niece,Gwen Joehansen of Port Smith, Va., and nephew Kendall M. of Keymar.

Owings Mills - John J. Clifford, 78, the retired manager of a trucking company, died Friday at Baltimore County General Hospital in Randallstown after a long illness. Surviving in addition to his wife, Evelyn Rosendale Clifford, are three sons and a daughter: Michael L. of Taneytown; Dennis J. and Patricia of Owings Mills, Baltimore County, and Daniel E. of Westminster. Earl E. Rains, 78, a retired pressman, died Sunday at the Sykesville Eldercare Center.
