Frances K. Brickner, Worked as secretary


Frances K. Brickner, a retired secretary who was active in auxiliaries of veterans' organizations, died Wednesday at a hospital in York, Pa., after a heart attack.

A Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Brickner, who was 69 and moved from Reisterstown to York last April, was offered Friday at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in York.

She retired in 1977 after 25 years as a secretary in Towson for the Black & Decker Corp.

Mrs. Brickner was a life member and former president of the auxiliary of the Peter Zouck Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Owings Mills and a member of the Liberty Unit of the American Legion Auxiliary in Randallstown.

A former member of Sacred Heart Church in Glyndon, she also attended the Reisterstown Senior Center.

The former Frances K. Fulda was born in Baltimore and graduated from Seton High School.

She is survived by her husband, Augustus W. Brickner; a daughter, Elizabeth C. Winkler of Red Lion, Pa.; three brothers, John Fulda of Baltimore, Joseph Fulda of Roy, Wash., and Chesney Haralson of Beltsville; and a grandson.
