Michael W. Stanley Sr., 34, a printer, died of cancer Sunday at his home on Hupa Place in Randallstown.
Funeral services were being held today at the Nutter funeral establishment, 2501 Gwynns Falls Parkway.
Mr. Stanley was an expediter at Waverly Press, where he worked for more than 10 years after setting type for the Afro-American Newspapers and the Globe Poster Co.
The Baltimore native was a graduate of the Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School and of Towson State University, where he majored in history.
Survivors include his wife, the former Denise Archer; a son, Michael W. Stanley Jr. of Randallstown; a daughter, Jennifer L. Stanley of Randallstown; his parents, Robert and Mildred Stanley of Baltimore; a brother, Reginald R. Stanley of Baltimore; three sisters, Irene McNamara and Cynthia and Aurelia Stanley, all of Baltimore; four stepsisters, Nancy Skinner and Jean, Victoria and Jacqueline Cooper, all of Baltimore; and his grandmother, Margaret Dennis of Baltimore.
