BREAKFAST TO HONOR MARTIN LUTHER KING

Bette McLeod, director of race equity programming for the Mid-Atlantic Equity Center in Washington, D.C., will be the guest speaker at Harford's sixth annual Ecumenical Breakfast honoring Martin Luther KingJr.

The 8 a.m. event, sponsored by the county Human Relations Commission, will be held Jan. 19 at the Chesapeake Center at Harford Community College.

McLeod, honored for her work by the National Conference of Christians and Jews and the National Science Foundation, conducts workshops and other forums on topics such as stereotyping, bias and multicultural awareness.
