Oh, the weather outside was frightful, but 2,098 brave souls showed up at the Arena last night for the Blast game against Kansas City.
The Blast showed its appreciation, winning, 6-4, and by devising a ticket exchange policy for every one of the 5,440 who had a ticket last night, whether they used it or not.
All will receive a free ticket of equal value to the Blast's Jan. 19 home game against the Tacoma Stars.
"We had 5,300 as of 4 o'clock who had paid good money for tickets to this game," said general manager John Borozzi. "I suggested to Ed [team owner Ed Hale] that we do this and he agreed. We talked about only allowing the exchange on unused tickets, but then it wouldn't be fair to those who weathered it and got here. So we're giving the tickets to everyone who had one, here or not."
Those at last night's game can exchange their ticket stubs for the free seats, while others should present their full ticket.
All exchanges must be made at the Baltimore Arena Box Office only, Monday, Dec. 31, through Friday, Jan. 18. No tickets will be exchanged on the day of the game, Jan. 19.
