Donna Parker's layup with three seconds left in overtime lifted Arundel (4-3) to a 62-60 victory over Bowie (4-2) in the first round of the Arundel tournament.
Arundel's Mary Pat Fannon had tied the game on a 15-foot jumper with six seconds left in regulation.
Parker (22 points, 11 rebounds) and Alina Smith (16 points and six rebounds) paced the Wildcats.
In the tournament's other game, Stephanie Lazor scored 21 points and Debbi Dadds added 20, as Northeast routed Edgewood, 60-21.
Dadds and Lazor also controlled the boards, combining for 28 rebounds.
Northeast and Arundel will meet today at noon for the championship, and Edgewood will play Bowie at 10 a.m. in the consolation game.
Christin Moraz scored 12 points and Kacy Williams and Sonya Keiner added 11 each, as Hammond (5-1) defeated Pallotti, 50-32, in the first round of the Bear Invitational tournament at Hammond.
In the other first-round game, Nicole Mamula scored a game-high 38 points to lead Laurel to a 60-43 victory over Paint Branch.
Laurel and Hammond will play for the championship tonight at 7:30, with Pallotti and Paint Branch meeting in the consolation game at 5:30.
