Opening week's events include music, films, fireworks MARINE MAMMAL PAVILION


Here's a list of opening week events for the Marine Mammal Pavilion. All outdoors events are free and will take place outside the National Aquarium on Pier 3. Admission will be charged for all events held inside the pavilion or aquarium, except as noted.

2 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Masterpiece Stamp Stations.


The aquarium hosts an Open House with free admission to the first 1,991 visitors, beginning at 9 a.m.


10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Comedy team, Disorderly Conduct, Puffin anroving clowns.


Make your own New Year's resolutions to conserve, preservand recycle. The World Wildlife Fund, the Nature Conservancy and Maryland Recycling Centers will be on hand with recycling tips.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Educational programs in the aquarium.

10 a.m.: Film: "Aquarium"

11 a.m.: Trading Refuse for Rain Forest: The Great Preakness Pickup

Noon.: Film: "Wonders of Dolphins"

1 p.m.: Sea Skits

2 p.m.: Conservation for Kids

3 p.m.: The Tooth about Sharks

4 p.m.: Dolphin Behavior

5 p.m.: Film: "Portraits of a Whale"

10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Masterpiece Stamp Stations.
