A Washington developer is preparing to build two massive warehouse/office buildings at the intersection of Solley Road and Energy Parkway.
John Hicks, a spokesman for the Svatos Co. of Washington, said the company has acquired permits for the two buildings and is trying to "pre-lease" them.
Construction on the first complex, with 181,420 square feet of office space, will begin when enough tenants have been found, possibly as early as next spring.
A permit has also been secured for a 189,917-square-foot building on the same lot, across from Georg International Inc.
The Svatos buildings, which are being marketed as warehouse distribution centers, are planned for the Brandon Woods Industrial Park, part of 560 acres owned by Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. along Solley Road.
BG&E;, through its subsidiaries, is selling or developing 450 acres of the plot, and tentatively plans to leave 110 acres along Nabbs Creek alone, BG&E; development manager Joseph Schreiber Jr. said.
