Coach's outlook: "We have one goal in focus and that is to win the Catholic League title. We have a veteran team and an experienced team.

We're very quick and we have height inside, so we should be very successful. Our schedule is tough this year. We lost our first game in Philadelphia (a 70-55 loss to Cardinal O'Hara in the Brotherly Love Tip-Off Classic) but we're coming along well. We're going to try and run with the ball."

Anne Arundel County Sun outlook: For the St. Mary's girls basketball program, the future is now. The Saints are loaded and ready to take aim on both the Catholic League regular-season and tournament titles. Seniors Coakley and Greenlee and junior Amelia lead the St. Mary's front court, while guards Goldsborough and Bonanni control the backcourt. The Saints finished as runners-up to Seton Keough of Baltimore last season and were not happy about it. Look for the shoe to be on the other foot this year, as the Saints sweep all Catholic League honors.
