Kenneth D. Sterner is named senior vice president of Tissue Banks International, a non-profit network of eye and tissue banks.

He will be responsible for TBI-affiliated eye banks on the east coast. He will also direct TDIC, the organization's tissue distribution and information center that places tissue for transplant surgery worldwide.

He will be based at TBI's national headquarters in Baltimore.

He joined the organization in 1978 and was most recently vice president, technical services.

At Harbor Hospital Center, Ann Heil joins the staff as coordinator of volunteer services. She was previously volunteer coordinator at the Maryland Science Center for eight years. She also taught biology in the Baltimore County School system for seven years.

Robert L. Coons is named vice president, sales and marketing, at Airflow Co., a Frederick-based designer and manufacturer of climate control systems.

He will be responsible for sales and marketing operations of the firm's DATAC, Dryomatic and IMPAC divisions.

He was previously head of sales and marketing at Donlee Technologies Inc. Before that, he headed sales and marketing for Edpac Corp. in Pennsylvania, and served as vice president, marketing at Emerson Quiet Kool Corp. in New Jersey.

At Katadyn Systems Inc., a designer and manufacturer of ultraviolet disinfection systems, Arthur J. Shapiro is appointed regional sales manager. He was previously capital projects manager for the Maryland Department of General Services. The Rev. Guy Patrick Hawtin is named rector of St. Stephen's Traditional Episcopal Church of North America. He was ordained in 1986 and is a former journalist and Eastern European correspondent for the Financial Times and The Times of London. He also served on the editorial board of the New York Post.

At the plant: Charles L. "Buz" Chaney is named corporate materials manager for McCormick & Co. Inc. He will be responsible for the leadership of all materials management activities throughout the corporation. He joined McCormick in 1967 as a member of the former McCormick Division MIS group. He most recently served as MIS director for Gilroy Foods Inc., the company's subsidiary in California.

Linda A. Watts Castello is promoted to accounts payable manager and benefit accountant for the corporate controller's staff. She will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements, reports and analyses associated with various employee benefits plans and trust funds, as well as the accounts payable and cash disbursements funds. She joined McCormick Properties Inc. as staff accountant in 1986 and most recently worked as corporate accounting supervisor. She previously served as accountant for Farm Credit Banks of Baltimore.


Kincaid Coakley & Co., a Greenbelt public accounting firm, has merged with Stegman & Co., a regional public accounting firm with offices in Baltimore, Columbia, Towson and now Greenbelt. John B. Kincaid and Donald M. Coakley Jr., principals with Kincaid Coakley, are named directors with Stegman.

Kincaid previously ran his own practice. Before that, he worked for the League of Woman Voters' national office, and the Washington office of Price Waterhouse.

Coakley was previously the principal of his own firm. Before that he was senior systems accountant for the Export-Import Bank of the United States.

Gregory C. Pinkard is named vice president and general manager of the Property Management Department for W.C. Pinkard & Co. He will direct all aspects of property management including operations, accounting and administration.

At Casey & Associates Inc., a Baltimore-Washington commercial real estate firm, Kimberly A. Penny is named a leasing specialist.

She will deal in the lease and sale of office and research and development space in the Columbia area. She was previously a leasing director for Dean Witter Realty Inc.

At The Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors, Lois Mark is named director of education and member services. She will be responsible for the formation of the board's new pre-licensing and appraisal schools, as well as other administrative aspects of the board's membership and educational programs.

She was previously sales manager for the Roland Park/Mount Washington office of Long & Foster Realtors.
