A Mass of Christian burial for Harold W. Maher, retired president of an engineering firm in Des Plaines, Ill., will be offered at 11:30 a.m. today at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 6428 York Road.

He was educated at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

His wife, the former Mary E. O'Donnell, died a year ago.

He is survived by a daughter, Winifred Joan Strueber of Towson; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
