John C. Jubb Sr.


John C. "Jubbie" Jubb Sr., a retired steel worker and lifelong resident of East Baltimore, died Saturday of a respiratory illness.

Services for Mr. Jubb, 73, were being held today at the Joseph N. Zannino Jr. funeral establishment, 263 S. Conkling St.

He was a graduate of the parochial school of St. Brigid's Roman Catholic Church in East Baltimore, where he had served as an altar boy.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gertrude I. Jubb; two daughters, Gertrude R. Caputo and Mary R. Schultz, both of Highlandtown; five sons, John C. Jubb Jr. of Dundalk, Thomas dTC W. Jubb Sr. of Millersville, Edward M. Jubb and Alan M. Jubb, both of Highlandtown, and Bernard M. Jubb of Bel Air; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by three sisters, Julia Weatherstine, Rose Wise and Frieda Hass, all of Baltimore.
