Edward Matthews Native of Baltimore

Services for Edward D. Matthews, a native of Baltimore, will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at Greater St. John's Baptist Church, 209 Walnut Ave., Turners Station.

Mr. Matthews, who also lived in Turners Station, died Monday at Johns Hopkins Hospital after a long illness. He was 27.

He attended Lemmel Junior High School and Dundalk Senior High.

Mr. Matthews had an aptitude for electronics and mathematics and had worked as a disc jockey at weddings and parties. He also had worked in construction.

He is survived by his mother, Ethel R. Ford of Baltimore; his father, Arthur Matthews Jr. of Hartford, Conn.; a sister, Twirl M. Tucker of Baltimore; and two brothers, Aaron A. Hunt and Arthur Matthews III, both of Baltimore.
