Services for William F. Dadd, who had retired as head of locomotive maintenance for the former Chessie System, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in North Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Mr. Dadd, a resident of Calabash, S.C., died Sept. 20 of kidney failure at a hospital in Myrtle Beach. He was 72.
He retired in 1978 in Huntington, W.Va. He had lived in Baltimore and other cities along the railroad line, having gone to work for the Baltimore and Ohio railroad in 1936. He was a native of Baltimore and a graduate of the Polytechnic Institute.
Mr. Dadd is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Navratil; a son, Robert E. Dadd of Kensington; three daughters, Peggy Henry of Randallstown, Nancy Hargest of Lutherville and Sally Himmer of York, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggested memorial contributions to St. Stephen's Church in North Myrtle Beach.
